This portfolio focuses on educational and learning environments across Ireland, showcasing the work of several prominent architects, including Ambient Architects, Van Dijk Architects, and Graham Architecture. From the vibrant, modern schools of Dublin and Galway to the more traditional settings in counties like Kildare, Meath, and Louth, this body of work showcases the diverse architectural landscape of Irish education.
My photographic style aims for a clean, bright, and naturally lit aesthetic, emphasizing the interplay of light and shadow within these spaces. I strive to capture not only the architectural design, drawing from details like skylights, glazing, brick facade, and wood flooring, but also the human element when possible.
Due to privacy concerns, my clients requested I blur all faces of children, which I was able to do in an interesting way. The presence of students and educators in motion brings these buildings to life. I present, through a range of perspectives, the built-in spaces of classrooms and kitchens through to exterior details of cladding and extensions.
